House Inspection Durham

Don't Get Caught Off Guard by a Failing Septic System

A Point-of-Sale Septic Inspection is an inspection of the septic system performed as part of a real estate transaction. The septic system is not included in a normal home inspection, and the inspector must be certified by the state of North Carolina, specifically the North Carolina Onsite Wastewater Contractor Inspector Certification Board (NCOWCICB). We are certified to perform these inspections and follow the NCOWICIB Standards of Practice.

Septic repairs can be incredibly expensive, not to mention unpleasant. While a Point-of-Sale Septic Inspection is always recommended, some lenders and local regulations may require that the septic system be inspected if one is present on the property.

The Point-of-Sale Septic Inspection looks at the septic tank, the pump tank, if present, and the dispersal field. See the NCOWICIB Standards of Practice for a complete list of all of the inspection points included in the inspection as well as specific exclusions.

  • " Alex Mescia was SOOO amazing! We are first time homebuyers so you can understand the stress of this entire process; but I can genuinely say that the inspection part was the easiest of it all. Everything went seamlessly, Alex Mescia came on very short notice and took care of the whole thing while we were out of town. Then he provided us with a very comprehensive report with pictures which made it so so easy for us. I highly HIGHLY recommend little creek home inspections! "

  • " Alex Mesciahas made purchasing our new home incredibly easier. Not only did he identify ever major issue that needed to be repaired he showed me everything that he was talking about and took pictures with detailed explanations for our seller to understand what repairs need to be made. Without his willingness to inspect every inch of our potential home in the rain we would have purchased this home not knowing all of the major fixes needed. He spent 6 hours making sure that there were literally no stone left untouched. Grateful to have Little Creek on our team to help protect my future investment and make sure my family lives in a safe and fully functioning home.

You need them to inspect your next home. "
